Lockdown Bra Art Exhibition

Covid Get it off Your Chest

I am currently organising a long-awaited exhibition of Bra Art created by artists who became part of a community art project I did during the artist residency last year with Suffolk Libraries (See previous EAST blog January 2021)

The bra artists have really impressed me with their ingenuity and quality. Each bra has a story which puts it into context, some with poignant words of how that person was experiencing the lockdowns.

Exhibiting the work at The Hold, Suffolk Record Office, is a very fitting venue. This show is about a time in history, personal responses to ‘Lockdown’, a major event that affected everyone’s lives in a variety of ways.  Each of the bras and their stories gives a glimpse into the lives of the makers and we are privileged that they have invited us to look.

If you would like to join in with this, there is just time, please contact me Facebook Covid Get It Off Your Chest | Facebook     OR felicity borwick (@covidgetitoffyourchest) • Instagram photos and videos   (or message me if you don’t use social media)
