Having just completed work for our forthcoming exhibition ‘Transformation’, I’m seeking inspiration for my next work with EAST.
Often taking my cues from Nature, when out and about something usually catches my eye to add to my ever-growing store of photographs.
Later looking at them back at home in my studio, I sometimes organise them into themes, sometimes gaze and ponder for ages, and sometimes wonder why I took some of them. Gone are the days of guilt over wasted 35mm film and prints going in the bin – the ‘delete’ button is my friend.
What I’m very much enjoying at the moment is looking with a new purpose – whether it’s looking back at my visual research gathered throughout the years with the current theme in mind, or popping to the park in a lunch break in search of fresh inspiration.
